![]() Don't make the same mistake I did and end up having to start over again like I did. Scoring prevents this wrinkling/crumpling from happening. On my first attempt I didn't score any fold lines and my card became wrinkled and crumpled from trying to push the cake through and then pinch the folds in the right direction. I started by scoring on the printed side, and as I was pushing the cake through I found I needed to score along the blank front side as well for folds in a certain direction. I can't stress this enough either: scoring the fold lines for the cake is IMPERATIVE! I used the back edge of an Exacto knife. I can't stress this enough: The printed side of the cardstock is the BACK of the inside of the card. Bear in mind these images (and the orientation of the card itself) will be reversed as the printed side becomes the "back" of the inside of the card. This allows you to size and place the graphics where you want on the card. import the original template PDF into a photo editor like Gimp. If you're going to add graphics like a candle, balloons, presents, etc. Print this template directly onto heavy cardstock! 2.
